Well, here goes nothing.
I spent the last two years grinding away in graduate school, enrolled in the University of San Francisco’s (USF) Professional Communication in Master of Arts (MAPC) program. Seeing as how I was last a student in 2007, when I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Cinema from San Francisco State University (SFSU), the math totaled to a 14-year chasm between these two institutions. But in the end, that was more of an advantage than it was a hinderance for me. Nonetheless, it was an incredibly arduous grind to say the least.
Now, several months removed from having graduated from MAPC, and quite frankly, having a devil of a time landing the right gig for me, I’ve decided to try a different approach.
I have always been a storyteller at my core. So, it’s no wonder why I studied film as an undergrad, and then got into the comics / music/ entertainment space as a journalist and photographer. I am a fan of storytelling no matter the modality. Shit, my sense of storytelling is even inspired by professional wrestling.
Since good storytelling can range from all these different mediums and employ communications and strategies across many different disciplines, that’s what I intend to discuss via podcasts, video, the written word, or some other way.
Stay tuned.
